Meet the Artist

My name is Julia iSABEL. I am a Ukrainian-American artist. I work with enamel on raw large-scale canvases, implementing controlled paint drip and color simplification. My main point of interest is the discovery of human nature through personal crises and social limitations, with an emphasis on feminine power and the beauty of nature, and the exploration of historical events in a new, unconventional way.

Artist's statement

"

Art is an incredibly powerful tool that enables people to share emotions and experiences without words. Understanding this, I feel a responsibility not just to entertain but to challenge the viewer, tearing apart the default way of seeing the world, provoking thoughts, and inspiring change.

Mission

My mission is to create a space where art challenges yet safely embraces
the viewer, guiding them toward introspection and transformation
through the visual pleasure and reconfirmation of beauty and love.

My Story

Julia iSABEL - is a Ukrainian multidisciplinary painter, designer, and activist from New York. Her epic, mural-sized enamel paintings channel the dripping technique of Jackson Pollock into a personal vision that explores representation and brings urgency to the cultural issues our society faces at every stage of its development. Her pieces often allude to Mother Earth, depicting the beauty of the ocean and her inhabitants, as well as the controversial facts from the history of religion and patriarchy, such as the suppression of women's rights and demonizing women's sexuality. In her work, Julia aims to reveal the world's culture's dark past and reevaluate the present.
